Mediterranean Cruise
This June 2001 cruise began with a flight from Glasgow to Palma (Majorca), where we rejoined "Sunbird". The first port of call was due to be Bizerte in Tunisia, but the weather was too windy for Sunbird to cope with the narrow harbour entrance. Next, we called at Civitavecchia, the port for Rome. Onwards to Leghorn, the port for Pisa and Florence (excursion not taken). Then it was Villefranche, with an excursion to Monaco. And finally, Barcelona (city excursion not taken), and a flight home from Barcelona Airport. A nice cruise, in generally good weather. |
